Behind the Scenes
Here are some behind the scene photos of Trish Badger shooting my best friend and Paper Doll, Stefanie Cotton.
Why am I so thankful?
I had an amazing 3 days off for Thanksgiving! Tuesday I got to do a little bit of shopping and then I made it a point to do something I haven't done in a very, very long time... lay in bed, watch, TV and do absolutely NOTHING! It felt so awesome to lay in bed and watch trash TV.
I was super excited for Wednesday. Sebastian and I got to go down to Galveston and shoot his riffle to get it ready for deer hunting next weekend. I'm pretty stoked to go deer hunting! It is the utmost boring, freezing, sedentary thing in the world but at the same time so peaceful and serene from the busy city and work, work, work.
Thursday was of course a day of Thanks. We spent Thanksgiving at Melissa and Oswaldo's house with Sebastian's family and then my mom joined us for some dessert. We ate and drank and played poker and fussball. I have so much to be thankful for this year. My family is healthy, my friends are awesome and I have the most hands down ahhhmazing boyfriend ever!! Lastly, I am so thankful to have a job. Sometimes I have to take a step back and take a look at the big picture. I constantly struggle with wanting to succeed and get to the next level of my career, which I think is good that I have that factor, but at the same time I let it consume my head. So... with that being said, I am so so thankful for everything that I have and I truly feel blessed!
Ahhh Friday, back to work! Even though I had to hold down the office all by my lonesome, I was excited for my photo shoot for Paper Doll later that evening. I was honestly starting to get down about my new business venture. I am the type of person who is impatient and loves progress. I need to feel like I am getting somewhere whether it's business or relationships. After two awesome sessions with Adrian at Mpire Design, I was excited for what was to come. Thanksgiving came around and I had to work around it and wait a week for my photo shoot, which was understandable. All that down time got me kind of down though. I had to keep re-motivating myself and telling my self to keep on going. Even the smallest thing like a verse out of a song on the radio would keep me going, and the long heart felt, venting, or me bitching, sit down talks with Sebastian helped too!
Fast forward... the shoot was a success! I am uber happy with the shoot! I love Trish Badger with Trish Badger Photography. She is the sweetest most hardworking photographer and I personally want to see her go a long way in her career. Here are some photos from the whole Thanksgiving weekend!

The Beginning Stages of Paper Doll
I couldn't be more happy with my Adrian, my web designer at Mpire Design. I have already met with him twice and I am loving all of his ideas! I originally seeked him out for the Cotton Properties Real Estate website but eneded up using him for my personal business. From the beginning I tried to build my own website but it got way too hard when it came to the e-commerce part of the site and adding music. He has exceeded every expectation that I have had and I am feeling like a kid in a candy shop I am so excited for what's to come! Here is the home page. It is currently still under construction but here is what we have done so far. Sorry that the picture is crooked... I took it with my camera phone.
This Friday we will be shooting the photos with Trish Badger Photography and my model and my best friend, Stefanie Cotton. I am stoked that everything seems to be coming together.
In other news, it was my parents 32nd wedding anniversary! We went to Capital Grille, thank you Aunt Pat! I am so proud my parents are still together. They are such troopers for staying together all these years. I hope that one day that I can have a 32 year wedding anniversary just like them : ))

The Decompression Tank...
Instead of going diving Bonaire in November and spending a crazy amount of money, we opted for Sebastian to go to Cozumel for a 5 day drive trip with his dive group, and me staying here in Houston for work. I always get nervous when he dives, so he made sure he called me after every morning dive and after every night dive just to make sure I was okay and to give me piece of mind that he was okay. The day that he was scheduled to come home I had the day off and was super excited to see him. He was on a plane and wasn’t really worried anymore because he wasn’t in the water. I was on the way to the airport when I get a call from a phone number I didn’t know. I answered it and it was Scott, Sebastian’s dive buddy. “Hi Patty, this is Scott Bradley.” I immediately thought to myself, why are you calling me?... Why not Sebastian? He went on to say “Well Sebastian is not doing to well.” My palms immediately started to sweat. Scott went on to say that Sebastian got a weird pain in his elbow and nearly passed out on the plane. They gave him oxygen and immediately felt better.
When diving, there is this thing called Decompression sickness. Defination:
Decompression sickness (DCS; also historically or colloquially known as divers' disease, the bends or caisson disease) describes a condition arising from dissolved gases coming out of solution into bubbles inside the body on depressurisation. DCS most commonly refers to a specific type of scuba diving hazard but may be experienced in other depressurisation events such as caisson working, flying in unpressurised aircraft and extra-vehicular activity from spacecraft.
Since bubbles can form in or migrate to any part of the body, DCS can produce many symptoms, and its effects may vary from joint pain and rashes, to paralysis and death. Individual susceptibility can vary from day to day, and different individuals under the same conditions may be affected differently or not at all. The classification of types of DCS by its symptoms has evolved since its original description over a hundred years ago.
We are still not sure what exactly happened but they treated him for DCS at Memorial Herman anyway. After it was all said and done it was a really neat learning experience and with Sebastian having over 100 dives under his belt, I always thought I would get DCS before him!
A special thanks to Kristi & Scott Bradley for staying with me at the hospital!
In other news I have a headache right now. I just got LASIK eye surgery over weekend. I am really liking that I can see without contacts but I think that my head has to get used to the eyesight change.
