Happy Days

I basically write in this blog for two reasons. One, I feel like I need to learn how to write and express myself on paper... or rather internet.  I have always and still do feel like I have writers block when it comes to writing. I think of all these great ideas in my head of how I want to write and then when it comes to write them down, I forget and cannot write for the life of me! Two, I feel like this is kind of a diary for me and my wonderful life that I am so greateful for. I want to be able to look back and re-read all the things I have done.

Today was a awesome day. I finally got a day off with Sebastian. Finally. I didn't care to see anyone I knew or talk to anyone at that. All I wanted was to spend the day with him. Sebastian's job is very demanding, and he works a lot. Monday through Saturday basically. Sometimes even at night, dinner with clients, yada yada yada. I work basically everyday. My leasing job is 5 days a week and then on my other two days off, I'm then trying to launch my real estate career by working with clients, which to me seems like it will never take off! Ugh, I'm so tired of working!! I feel like even though we live together, I never get to see him. Or maybe I'm just selfish : ) Not sure if that's the case but regardless, there aren't enough hours in the day sometimes. I feel like we are hamsters on a hamster wheel. Get up, work out, go to work, network, eat dinner, work some more, go to bed. It's Sunday night and Sebastian is working...again. Not that I mind, because I don't, because it gives me time to write in my blog!

Anyways, the whole point of this blog was to write about my exciting day off! Oh how good it felt to sleep in! I don't think we got out of bed till 11am! It was awesome! After that we hit Memorial Park. Today was such a beautiful day to run and just to be out at that. I have been wanting to try this place called Brothers Tacos that a friend brought to us at work one day. The breakfast tacos were SO good, I wanted to take S there, so after our run we decided to go. After that we wanted some coffee, so we went to Coco's in Midtown. Low and behold, not only did we get coffee but a crepe as well. Yes, we are pigs. : ) Ummm yes, we had a banana, almond, pb and honey crepe. Can you say HEAVEN? or CALORIES?? Today was my day, so I didn't give a DAMN! Two breakfasts in less than an hour, priceless. The rest of the day we spent window shopping in Rice Village, and hit the grocery store. We finished up with dinner at Fish in Midtown. I love dinner with my man. We have the best conversations. We finished up the night at Sweet Lola's frozen yogurt. I really liked it because they use organic ingredients and most of their topping are made in house.

Today, was a great day. Even though S and I  both work a lot, when we do get a day off together, it makes me appreciate the time we get so much more.

28th Birthday!

Sigh... another year toward being 30. Oh well, I do have a lot to be thankful for! I was born at 9:40 am February 10, 1982 at Memorial Northwest Hospital, which is now Memorial Herman Northwest, to Robert & Leonida Hatton. I was a mistake not to mention I was supposed to be a boy. My parents came up with the name Sean or Shaun Hatton. Not too sure on how they were planning to spell it nor till this day have I asked. Anyways, when I came out without kibbles and bits, I had no name. So how did I get my name? They named me after my Aunt Pat, which is Patricia Lynn Palmer. I was 7 lbs 10 oz. Patricia Lynn Hatton! (Is that heavy??)

Fast forward 28 years. I have a great job, a loving family, a damn good lookin cat, and a boyfriend who I have to say, is the shit. He is hands down the most amazing man I have ever met and I am so lucky to have him!

This year my bebe and I got up at the usual time, 5:30 am, and got ready to head to the gym. While I was getting ready he left my present in the kitchen so when I cam out I saw it...Yay! It was the ring I've been wanting!

My fingers are a little fat and the ring is a little small but oh well, it still fits.
After we finished working out he cooked me an amazingly delicious breakfast!

I worked that day and little did I know I would get 1 set of flowers and a gift card to the spa from Sebastian and another set of flowers and a Tres Leches cake from my Mom ! Oh how I love tulips & cake!! I also got a cat book and another gift certificate for a massage. Thanks Mom & Dad!

My beautiful flowers!!

That night we had an amazing dinner at Dolce Vita where we had a bottle of vino, salad and a pizza. It reminded me so much of being in Italy because the menu was difficult to read... At least for me... so Sebastian had to translate.

I was off the next day because I was sure to get a little drunk and I knew I wouldn't want to work, so we went to have lunch at Hearsay and split a burger and salad. The hamburgers there are TO DIE FOR!  As my bebe would say 'They are so gutalicious." Thats why for my brains sake, I only ate half!

Hunting

I went hunting for the 1st time in my life... and I have to say it was pretty boring but at the same time it was a great experience. I have never been to Kerrville, TX before but I really wanted to get away from the city for a while. It was really peaceful out there, not much going on at all. One negative was the food.
The food was horrible! I totally missed the city food. The whole time we were there I only had one good meal which was mexican food. The rest of the time I ate junk food... yuck. I was so sick of eating like crap all weekend.

We arrived Thursday evening, got settled in to the hotel and grabbed a horrible dinner at Chili's. It was effin gross! Seriously.. something happend to that resturaunt. It went downhill... FAST! The next morning we were set to wake up at 4am!! We ended up waking up at 4am but since it was raining we were told we couldnt hunt until the rain stopped. Sebastian and I and his dad went to grab breakfast and then went back to the hotel to nap until we were able to go out. I nearly froze the 1st day. My feet felt like ice.. literal ice. My feet felt like they were webbed...like a ducks feet with ice inbetween them. By mid day I literally couldnt feel my toes. Come to find out my boots were on too tight, cutting off my blood circulation to my ice cold, frostbitten feet. The sun did not come out at all that day. We ended up shooting 2 axis and an elk. We even had another crappy dinner at some place named 'Culvers'... gross.

Day 2 I was going to make sure I didn't freeze. We went to Walmart to get hand, feet and body warmers. I went out the next morning at 4 am again with 5 body warmers on me. I was set! Up at 4 am again after going to bed at midnight, I was super sleepy! Once we got to the ranch I went out with the boys for a while then decided to stay at the cabin the rest of the day where it was warm. They didn't end up shooting anything the 2nd day we were there. We called it a day around noon and decided to get head back to eat. We finally got a good meal that night at a local Mexican restaurant..yumm. After eating all that junk, it was so satisfying to get a good meal.

The next morning we picked up all our meat at the processing factory. I have to say I was pretty impressed with all the meat that came out of that freezer. We probably had 800 lbs worth of meat to take home. It was like nothing I had ever seen before!
