Things are getting serious! : )

Happy Thanksgiving! Sebastian and I had Thanksgiving down in Galveston this year. I was excited 1.) because it was our first Thanksgiving together even though we did know each other last year but we were not 'together' yet. 2.) My family came to Galveston to have Thanksgiving with his family! Everything went really really well! Everyone got along perfectly!  : )

The next day we got our first Christmas tree together too! Lots of first this year. We ended up shopping all day on Black Friday, which to my surprise wasn't that bad. We actually got some really good deals, so it was worth it.  After that we picked up our tree and brought it home. We even made a tree for Miko too. Here are some pictures..

Lord have mercy....

I never knew Sebastian & I had so much STUFF! Well, we got all moved in, yet we haven’t gotten to stay in the house together but one night. I moved on a Thursday and Sebastian moved on a Saturday. Both moves took all day long! My movers were pretty good being that they had two girls to move (me and my roommate Liz), and we were going to two separate apartments, and it was all in the rain... 100% chance rain that is.

We started at 8:30 am and finished around 5 pm. Oh how I never want to move again! Sebastian’s move was a little more stressful. He started at 12 pm and finished at 6 pm, however his movers came with NO moving materials. No straps, no blankets, no plastic bubble wrap, no nothing. Just a truck.  On top of it all we had a Halloween party to attend that night, and on top of that, he had to leave to go out of town to Dallas the next day with all his clothes in boxes somewhere.

The house was in an utter wreck. We tried to get as much done as we could before he left on Sunday. He was able to hook the TV up for me just in time so that I could watch DVD's while he was gone, since he waited so long to call AT&T to hook up our internet and cable. (Miko and I watched a lot of Entourage).

I had my work cut out for me though... Sebastian is a little anal when it comes to his, now 'our' house. He was a little concerned that it was going to be little o’ me setting up the house without his input. So, when he had to leave for Dallas it was up to me to unpack everything and put it all in its place. Well, I did it! Today is Wednesday and he will be back this afternoon. I hope he likes it! I am so excited for him to come home! I missed him so, so much!

My mom had surgery yesterday on her knee. She had a tear in her meniscus. She is feeling better today. Poor thing… Hopefully she won't have anymore problems with walking. I need her to help watch my kids one day! : ) Love you mom!

Acapulco 09'

Sebastian and I went to Acapulco for his cousins wedding. Congratulations Melissa & Oswaldo! I have to say Acapulco was hands down the most beautiful place that I have ever been to. Of course there are a lot of other places that are beautiful but I think I just loved how hilly and green it was. The views are breathtaking.

On the way there I think we took the smallest plane Continental owned, the Continental Express. I was so scared. I had to tell myself that big planes are harder to fly than small, and I've done this before.

On arrival we were so excited! We stayed at the Camino Real, which was beautiful! http://www.caminoreal.com/acapulco/ . We also got a room upgrade because we were with the wedding party! Yay! After that we immediately hit the pool and started drinking. You know when you are excited, you get drunk really easy, well this happened to Sebastian. I think he was a little more excited than everyone else, because he barely made it to dinner he was so sick. It’s kind of funny looking back now.

For dinner we went to a crappy restaurant that is lady on the trip insisted on going to. It was called Paradise or something like that. Don’t go here. The food sucked! The only thing that was kind of cool was the bungee jumping while we ate dinner. The cab driver that we rented for the trip, Pablo, mentioned that we go to Su Casa. We ended up going there the next night and the food was awesome, drinks were good, and service was even better! It is on a cliff and you can see all of Acapulco.

The next couple of days we shopped, rode horses, and snorkeled quite a bit. Sebastian is an avid diver and since he didn’t get to drive this trip, we snorkeled. We actually saw some cool looking fish. I saw a spotted eagle ray, and swam the other way. Even though they are not poisonous, all I could think about was Steve Erwin, bless his soul. We also saw a spotted puffer fish. He was black with white polka dots all over, and another puffer fish with spikes all over. The coolest fish though was this ity bity yellow fish, he was probably the size of a quarter, he swam with Sebastian the whole time while snorkeling. It was so cool, when we swam, at one point he would lead the way and swim upfront by Sebastian’s goggles. It was sad when we got out of the water and back on the boat, you could still see the little fishy at the top of the water wondering where his friend went.
When we got back on the boat, I wasn’t feeling so good. We started to go further out into the ocean to snorkel in another area where the waves were really choppy. I told Sebastian that I wasn’t feeling good and he kept telling me to focus on a house on land. I focused on Rafael Nadals house. I kept thinking of how if my mom new he had a house here, she would want to burn it down because she is in love with Roger Federer. Needless to say that didn’t work and next thing you know my breakfast was in the Atlantic Ocean. It wasn’t pretty. I didn’t get to go in the water second time around, so I just took a nap on the boat.

The wedding was on a Saturday at 5’oclock. The scenery was beautiful of course, but it was hot as hell! The minister’s wife actually got a little overheated. I just have one thing to say about Mexican weddings…they can PARTY! The wedding started at 5pm and lasted till 3am! That’s 10 hours! We could only hang till 1:30 am…I’m starting to feel old.

The next day was our last one there. We woke up early enough to eat breakfast and head to the airport. Back to Houston!!
